I went to a meeting today that was secretly about the world of boys. What I learned is that when some men get together, they can make shit happen in a way I don’t remember seeing women do. Lots of male wheeling and dealing. Lots of talking with strangers about business, action, profits. No hob nobbing, no “how’s Patty and the kids?” Just straight up getting shit done. In a big way. How did these guys get this way? Was it years of silent communication to them that they run the world? A lifetime of being told You Are The One? A lifetime of being told that You Are Right, Your Body is of God, Your Everything in the Image of Him? You are primary. You are The Shit. Is it that? Or what? Or are they brought up to be more competitive, more aggressive? These questions have been asked and answered the world over…..
The just wanted to get home to watch the race!
I guess it all depends on the meetings you visit. I’ve seen woman take the baton and run with it just as well as a man. I know personally that I have to be no nonsense when it comes to work. I play when I play, but things need to get done, you know?
